Griddy, Power Company With Astronomical Texas Storm Bills, Banned From State Power Grid
Griddy, the power company that charged customers as much as $450 per day for electricity during the catastrophic winter storm last week, has been banned from the state’s power market. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas, which regulates the state energy grid, brought the hammer down on the company for nonpayment, according to Bloomberg. Further details were unavailable. Customers have also filed a class action suit against the company over the exorbitant bills.
