Logistics firm gobbles up space in new Denton business park
Developers start two more buildings in project near I-35.
A logistics company has landed in a new Denton business park, taking space in one of two buildings.
Denton-based Elite Materials & Logistics Solutions has rented 398,442 square feet of space in the Denton Crossing @ I-35 industrial park at 900 S. Western Boulevard, west of Interstate 35.
The 22-year-old logistics firm took the bulk of the first phase of the two-building speculative warehouse project.
Dallas-based Ironwood Realty Partners and Scannell Properties developed the park.
“The location and the offering of a Class A industrial facility allowed EMLS to consolidate operations to better serve their customers D-FW wide,” Todd Jones of Ironwood Realty Partners said in a statement.
The developers have already kicked off construction on a second phase of the industrial complex with another 700,000 square feet in two buildings.
Alliance Architect is the architect, and Pacheco Koch is the civil engineer for the project.
The next two buildings will open late this year.
“Strong demand for e-commerce continues to be the driving factor in the D-FW industrial market,” said Kris Arviso of Scannell Properties.
Scannell Properties is based in Indiana and has done several North Texas industrial projects with Ironwood Realty.
Ironwood Realty is a six-year-old Dallas-based real estate firm that has developed more than $400 million in industrial projects.
