A Dallas-based developer is planning a major distribution hub in Fort Worth — its second new speculative warehouse project in North Texas this year.
Ironwood Realty Partners broke ground in February on the first phase of an industrial park in Denton.
Now the developer is planning another large business park in North Fort Worth.
Ironwood Realty plans to build almost 1 million square feet of warehouse space in two buildings near Interstate 35W and Sylvania Cross Drive near Loop 820.
The project will include a 700,000-square-foot building and a 251,000 square foot building, according to planning documents filed with the state. The total development will cost more than $40 million.
Alliance Architects is designing the industrial park, which is set to start construction in May.
Ironwood Realty started work in February on a 1.2 million-square-foot warehouse complex in Denton it’s building in partnership with Indianapolis’ Scannell Properties. The Denton Crossing project is planned to include four buildings.
And last year Ironwood Realty completed an almost 700,000-square-foot warehouse in its Synergy Crossing business park in Denton.
Founded in 2015, the real estate development company has other properties in Fort Worth and Grand Prairie.
